Proper Posture

Proper posture removes interference to the God given power that is in your nervous system to allow you to function and heal properly. When proper posture is restored your brain has the ability to communicate properly with your body. This helps everything from diabetes and heart disease to back and neck pain. Changing your spine and allowing proper motion puts less stress on your system and improves how your brain communicates with your entire body. Your body is always trying to keep you in a balanced state. This includes all of your viscera, your blood vessels, your organs, autoimmune diseases, bipolar disorders, weight gain, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, blood pressure issues all these can be altered by improper posture. The more your body becomes imbalanced the harder it is for your body to keep you from getting these symptoms.

The weight of your head is about that of a bowling ball. If it’s too far forward from where it should be, your brain is working overtime just to keep you upright. There’s some pretty wild research using brain scans that show this. Things like checking our phone for hours on end, computers, Netflix Binges’ cause your head to move forward which puts undue stress on your muscles, ligaments and joints, which can lead to degeneration, disk injuries, neck pain, headaches shoulder pain, low back pain, numbness and tingling arms and the list goes on. What the research found was people with forehead posture had brain’s working significantly harder than people with normal posture. Especially during challenging physical tasks. Think of it like holding a bowling ball close to your chest versus holding It out in front of you. Which one is harder? That’s what happens when your head pushes forward. Your neck muscles are working overtime, and your brain has to send way more signals to keep everything stable. It literally affects how your brain talks to your muscles to get things done properly. It interferes with the proper nerve flow or communication making it struggle to do basic things, which can lead to fatigue and stress throughout the day. It was found that the people in the study with poor posture their brains were constantly in a state of trying to solve a difficult problem even during simple tasks. This puts extra wear on all of your parts. It can literally affect how your brain is trying to solve problems because it’s putting its attention toward basic posture control. Now these people didn’t have any pain. When your posture Improves your brain function often improves as well. It’s like taking an extra load off your brain’s processing power, freeing it up for more important things like thinking clearly, having better focus and feeling less mental fatigue. Your posture is literally affecting how hard your brain has to work just to keep you functioning normally. So, if you catch yourself with your head pushed forward just pull it back a little bit more to neutral position and give your brain a break as well as your muscles and spine.
